Stress is unavoidable. Letting it run your body, your moods, and your health, that part is optional.

This workshop gives you a proper understanding of what stress is actually doing inside you, and more importantly, the tools to stop it in its tracks. We're talking real techniques you can use on yourself and the people around you, not another mindfulness poster telling you to breathe.

What You’ll Learn

Hans Selye 3 Phases of Stress: Hans Selye mapped the body's stress response in three stages, alarm, resistance, exhaustion, and once you understand this model, you'll never look at your symptoms the same way. You'll learn to recognise exactly where you're sitting in that cycle, what it's doing to your body, and what to actually do about it at each stage.

Emotional Stress Release (ESR): When you're in the thick of it, overwhelmed, reactive, can't think straight, ESR brings you back. By stimulating specific neurovascular points on the head, you shift your nervous system out of fight-or-flight and into clarity. It's fast, it's subtle, and once you know it you'll use it constantly.

Emotional Balancing with Affirmations: Not the kind you paste on your mirror and ignore. This is targeted, identifying the specific emotional block, finding the belief underneath it, and using affirmations as a precise tool to rewrite the pattern. Practical, not fluffy.

Alarm Points and Meridian Balancing: Every meridian in the body has an alarm point on the skin and an emotion connected to it. When stress is sitting in a particular energy pathway, you can find it, clear it, and restore flow. This is where the physical and emotional stop being separate things.

Muscle Testing: This is the foundation of everything.

Muscle testing, also called indicator muscle testing, is a way of asking the body direct questions and getting honest answers. Not what your mind thinks, not what you've been told, not what you're hoping for. What your body actually knows.

In this workshop you'll learn two forms of testing:

  • Whole Body Testing: A standing technique where you allow your body to lean forward or backward in response to a thought, substance, or situation. No equipment, no partner needed. Discreet enough to use anywhere. Joan Dewe has used this technique since 1981 and it's one of the most practical tools you'll leave with.

  • Accurate Indicator Muscle Testing: using a specific muscle as a biofeedback tool to identify exactly where stress or imbalance is sitting in the body. Everything you can do with whole body testing you can also do here, testing thoughts, situations, decisions.

Holistic Stress Management: The stuff that actually keeps you out of burnout long-term. Breathing techniques that work fast. Why movement is non-negotiable for emotional regulation. What your diet is doing to your stress load, including which supplements genuinely make a difference. And yes, laughter, the research on it is real and worth knowing. You'll leave with a toolkit that covers all of it.

These tools work on you. They work on your kids, your partner, your friends. Once you have them, you'll find yourself reaching for them constantly, not because you're supposed to, but because they actually work.
